There's a lot of fruits and veggies involved so we went grocery shopping last night. For a weeks worth of groceries we normally spend anywhere between $90 and $150 at the commissary or Safeway. The commissary just doesn't have a wide or fresh selection of produce so we hopped on over to Safeway and FILLED our cart with produce! Anddd it ended up costing us over $200 but it was mostly healthy foods (there were lunchables, chicken nuggets, fruit snacks, and kid cuisines for our 5 year old lol), we got $0.30 per gallon in rewards and saved $29 with our club card.
Each day 8-10 glasses of water must be consumed. We are bottled water fans so we plan on at LEAST 6 bottles a day and aiming for more. Our water intake is something that needs working on. Soda is a weakness for us! And you're also encouraged to exercise during these 7 days (and regularly, of course) as a way to maintain your energy levels since your body will not be able to derive energy from carbohydrates.
Day One: All fruits except bananas. your first day will consist of all the fruits you want. It is strongly suggested that you consume lots of melons the first day. Especially watermelon and cantaloupe. If you limit your fruit consumption to melons, your chances of losing 3 lbs. on the first day are very good.
So, we stocked up on melons; watermelon, golden honeydew and honeydew. But we forgot to grab a cantaloupe so we will most likely be picking some up while were out today.
My husband, who works 13-14 hour shifts, is still sleeping but is about to be woken up! We have fruit to be eating, water to be drinking and finally some sun to be soaking up ;) It's 11:30 and I still haven't eaten (tsk tsk) but almost through my first bottle of water!
Stay tuned for our weigh in!
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
"Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body,"
